The track starts at Fowlers Hut and heads up Pass Stream to Fowlers Pass at 1296m.
There’s a long way to go – a further 640m in altitude over 4km.
On windy days this route can be exposed and extreme care should be taken on the summit ridge.
The steep topography makes for excellent views though
