Take the Jameson Ridge Tracks to the tops of the Ella Range.

Near the bushline are perfect campsites but without easy access to water.

Further south are some tarns where better campsites can be found and in winter snowcaves dug.

To complete a loop, continue south on the tops until Pt1860 and then drop steeply down to the marked track.
