Tarn Col is a relaxed trip with sections of well-marked tracks and one hut en route. Spend the night at Hawdon Hut or camp in the East Oteake and climb to the col the following day. This route can be made into a three day journey by descending into the Edwards River from the Col and staying at Edwards Hut.
