If an overnight tramp in the vicinity of Arthur’s Pass takes your fancy, consider tackling the popular Bealey Spur Track.

The well-defined track ascends an easy 500m before reaching the ridgeline and the cosy musterer’s hut on the edge of the bushline.

On a clear day, the views from the ridge extend out over the Waimakariri Valley.
