#microchallenge4: Leave only footprints

Bridgedale Midweight Merino Performance Fit socks winner:

Helen Howell climbed Mt Pirongia. “The mud quickly ate my footprints, but one is visible in the bottom left of the photo.”

Jeremy Eade visited Āwhitu Peninsula and walked the beach. “Our footprints were being erased almost as quickly as we were making them, ready for the next people to enjoy the area.”

Mike Harneiss left his footprints in all the wrong places!

#microchallenge5: Kiss a cairn (or track marker)

Big Agnes Impassable 20 pack winner:

Michelle Wong went in for the kiss on the way down from Mt Arthur during an “epic five days in Kahurangi National Park”.

Nicola Hill found an Asbestos Cottage track marker. “Such a great walk – beautiful beech forest,
interesting landscapes and amazing stories.”

Sarah Law’s track marker was in a stunning setting at Moke Lake.

#microchallenge6: Cook up a storm

The top 10 entries to this microchallenge all receive their favourite BCC meal.

$100 Back Country Cuisine winner:

Sara Templeton walked the Heaphy Track and found Back Country Cuisine’s Vegetarian Stirfry “filling and tasty after a 21km day”.

Back Country Cuisine provided welcome sustenance for Martin Wright on his climb of Mitre Peak.

Tim Jensen’s favourite Back Country Cuisine meal is Honey Soy Chicken, which he ate near Athenree Beach Camp by Tauranga Harbour.
