An obvious path from Seaview Rd leads to the top of Wairere Falls. The track then sidles around the flanks of Kapu te Rangi.

Several information panels are placed strategically along the loop to give historical background to walkers.

Heading out to sea, the track skirts a couple of pa sites. At Kohi Point the path emerges through flax and low scrub to switch south-east along cliff tops.

A staircase leads down to sandy Otarawairere Bay.

About 100m further on is a hidden waterfall. Next stop is Ohope beach.

Note: the western arm of the Fairbrother Loop is closed until further notice due to a large slip.
