Award-winning night for Wilderness

This is for all the trampers out there!

The Wilderness editorial team took a clean sweep at the 2018 Magazine Publishers’ Association awards in September, winning best magazine, best editor (Alistair Hall) and best journalist (George Driver) in the Consumer Special Interest category.

Art director Pelin Hall was also runner-up in the Best Designer category.

Editor Alistair Hall said the awards are a validation of the hard work put into the magazine.

“We are thrilled beyond measure that our small team beat out some of the biggest publishers in the country.

“The awards are a validation of the hard work we have put into Wilderness and www.wildernessmag.co.nz over the last 12 months. And while we are proud to have been recognised by our peers and the MPA, the real success of the magazine can be measured in another way: more people than ever before are reading the stories we publish – whether in print or online.

“So these awards are dedicated to all the trampers out there – those who find inspiration in Wilderness and who in turn inspire us each and every month.”
