Walk1200km participants are being motivated every weekend to visit new and amazing places in order to boost their weekly distances. Here are some of the best photos received in the quarterly Walk1200km photo competition.

Congratulations, Celine Frost whose photo of a kea taking flight at Mackinnon Pass on the Milford Track (featured image) has won her a Panasonic Lumix DC-TZ90 camera worth $599. “We had ventured out early to beat the fog,” says Celine. “The weather may be unpredictable but the beauty of the wildlife amongst the mountains remains in rain or shine.”

And here are some of the best of the rest…. Thanks to everyone who entered!
