Make the most of the crisp mid-winter days and head up to the Hooker Glacier terminal lake.

The well-benched track crosses over several swing bridges and passes the Alpine Memorial before reaching Stocking Stream Shelter.

From the shelter follow the Hooker River to its source at the terminal lake.

This is one of the area’s most popular day walks and offers stunning vistas during winter and spring.
