William Davis (9) took his mum to Speargrass Hut in Nelson Lakes National Park. “The snow had melted but it still got pretty cold overnight!” said Katharine.

The Hyland and Morrissey families skinned and skied into the new Musterers Hut at Snow Farm for two nights of igloo making and sledding fun.

Luke Gardiner taught his son Ranger some pocket-knife skills at Woolshed Creek Hut. “It was a great weekend away and a lovely trip,” said Luke.

Members from Parawai Tramping Club had a fabulous weekend at Angelus Hut in Nelson Lakes National Park.

Michelle Wong spent the night at Carroll Hut and then did a side trip to climb Kellys Hill (1394m) in Arthur’s Pass National Park. “It was a chance to enjoy the snow and blue skies while adding to my Walk1200km tally,” she said.
