This track up Pauanui Hill (387m) is part of a series of worthwhile walks in the Tairua Forest.

The track skirts the coastline for a few hundred metres and then climbs steadily to the trig structure where you can enjoy extensive views over Pauanui Beach and resort, including its unique waterways subdivision.

Take the direct track back straight down the hill to reach the car park.
