What makes a favourite piece of gear? When it comes to Bridgedale, it’s those little things that transform every journey: the passion and experience behind each pair, the precision of fit, Fusion Technology, an industry-leading guarantee and care for every tiny detail. It all adds up to the most comfortable, enduring socks and blister-free feet.

That’s why Bridgedale is a perfect partner for your Walk1200km challenge. Don’t just take our word for it. Some of New Zealand’s leading adventurers choose Bridgedale, too.

Fave sock: Bridgedale Trail Run Lightweight T2 Merino Sport

These are my go-to for all adventures and races. They are the ones I relied on during Godzone CP12 – six days of biking, trekking, packrafting and canyoning; they were comfy throughout. To finish with a total of two small blisters between a team of four really shows how well they perform. We even had one of the top teams ask us for footcare tips at the finish line! The lightweight merino fabric and localised padding keep them comfortable when wet or dry – crucial when conditions are out of your control.

Fave sock: Bridgedale StormSock Midweight Knee

I spend a lot of time outdoors in challenging conditions, and I’ve found the StormSock the ultimate solution when the elements are testing. Wet, cold, windy – these socks hold their own.

I’ve used the knee-length version, and am amazed by how comfortable they are. They’re 100% waterproof and the merino lining keeps my feet warm and comfortable, even on long, tough days. From what I’ve discovered so far, they’re also incredibly strong and durable, built to handle real-world adventures.

They’ve made a significant difference to my comfort on autumn hiking and paddling trips, and I know they’ll come into their own even more during winter. For anyone who’s serious about outdoor performance in all conditions, these socks are a game-changer.

Fave sock: Bridgedale MTB Summerweight T2 CoolMax Sport

My most-worn pair of socks are my Summerweight MTBs. I use them for every scenario on the bike: commuting, fast road rides, mountain biking, the rides where it’s more like taking my bike for a walk, and a wide variety of races encompassing all of these. They’ve also become my all-round go-to sock for casual wear, running and in the gym. I like how they are quick drying and have specific padding areas to suit cycling shoes and to absorb the impacts of mountain biking. I absolutely thrash my gear, and these still feel the same as they did on day one.
