#microchallenge7: Find the Christmas spirit on your walk

Sleeping bag winner!

Michelle Sim added some festive cheer to her walk up Mt Ada in the Port Hills. “I’ve done a lot of flat walking lately, so it was great to get back out in the hills and get the blood pumping.”

Elizabeth Mayo enjoyed a sunset walk with her ‘reindeer’.

Diana Ward found a spectacular pōhutukawa in bloom. “Who needs an artificial tree when you have a massive one like this, bathed in sunlight and full of birdsong?”

#microchallenge8: Summit celebration

Salewa Wildfire Leather winner!

Some “old men” (Stuart Prattley and Craig Foreman) reached the top of the Old Man Range. “Major climbing finished for the day, yay!”

Karen Harper gave a wave from the summit of Mt Vernon on the Port Hills.

Gina Williams was delighted to reach a trig point overlooking Lake Waikaremoana because it “promised an end to the steep climb”.

#microchallenge9: Photograph a dog

Further Faster voucher winner!

Alison Silcock says Moss is the best walking companion you could wish for. “He encourages you to walk faster when on a lead but waits for you when off the lead.”

Would you look at this good dog. Hanka Vojtechovska walked the Brow Peak route with Gita.

Good boy Gary has been supporting Georgina Ford through the challenge. “He’s a good boy because he knows we don’t go walking until we’ve had a coffee.”
