#microchallenge13: Visit a lake (Further Faster $100 voucher)

Lizzy de Zeeuw and her 8-year-old son climbed Mt Ruapehu to visit Crater Lake.

 

Irene Adderley did the Hooker Valley Walk at Aoraki / Mt Cook to the Hooker Glacier terminal lake. “Being Glacier fed, only the toes took a dip!”

#microchallenge14: Be a tidy Kiwi (Lowe Alpine AirZone 30 worth $299.95)

Winner! Charlie Baxter went above and beyond to collect 180kg of rubbish along a 5km stretch of rural road. “Thanks for the motivation for the cleanup, it was a sombre study of human behaviour but a satisfying way to earn a shower,” Charlie said.

 

Karen Wallace has made a real difference to her area. When she started collecting rubbish she would fill a bag in one walk. Now, she partially fills a bag every 3-4 weeks. Go Karen!

 

Jenny Morris walked 4km around Waiata Shores and collected 177 pieces for landfill, 36 items for recycling, a foreign coin, a unicorn, a memento from Singapore and a used prescription of Ritalin.

#microchallenge15: Find an animal shape in a tree (Bridgedale Midweight Merino Performance Fit socks)

Winner! On a tramp to Tautuku Hut in Catlins Forest Park, Paul Kuriger’s son Ethan thought he’d have a go at riding on this dragon’s back.

 

Kelly Hibbert was walking in Okai Reserve on the Otago Peninsula when she spotted a very large kiwi. “Hopefully you can see it too,” she says. Yes we can!

 

While walking the Manawatu Gorge Track Bianca Caske stumbled upon an ‘interesting long-necked turtle’.
