​​Cathy Jenke and grandson Rosjier Hall tramped up the Cobb Valley to celebrate their combined 81st birthday.

Amanda Smith enjoyed “a lovely walk” with grandson Blake at Waitawa Regional Park.

Kelly Smith completed the Routeburn with Cohan (13), Oscar (10) and Molly (15). “A highlight was being able to see all the way past Lake McKerrow to Martins Bay, with the spectacular Darrans in the background,” she said.

Lynnette Morris spent the weekend in the Ruahine Range. Here she is en route to Top Maropea Hut.

The Grace family, including Lachlan (13), Cooper (7) and Theo (9), tramped the Rakiura Track.

Olivia Elliott and kids Alasdair (6) and Logan (4) hiked to Waihohonu Hut in Tongariro National Park. “It was absolutely beautiful with clear blue skies and a crisp frost in the morning,” said Olivia.

Paul Richardson hiked the Humpridge Track with partner Karen and friends Alastair and Ann Smaill.

Lenny Bieberbach (8), Finn Bieberbach (11), Lake Adams (9) and Colin Bieberbach (5) had the best time finding snow and ice on the way to Waihohonu Hut in Tongariro National Park.

Michael Hendriks took in the 41m-high Dog Stream Waterfall in Hanmer Forest Park.
