Valley head

The head of the Dingleburn Valley. Photo: Ewan Paterson

Geoff Wayatt and I had dropped into the head of the Dingleburn Valley from a saddle with the Ahuriri Valley. We were now faced with southerly rain showers moving up the valley. But not to worry – Top Dingle Hut is just 45 minutes away, down at the edge of the beech trees.
