This circuit can be done as a day trip or an overnighter and takes in rolling tops, goblin forest and cool streams. By Lachlan McKenzie

The circuit begins with a 15min stroll up the serene Ngatiawa River with about four crossings, up to knee-depth, in quick succession. The circuit splits at a memorial plaque.
