Right place, right time

The setting sun strikes Aoraki/Mt Cook while a tramper looks on. Photo: Carson Leong

I noticed this woman exploring the exposed rocky area around Mueller Hut. She stood on the boulder, with New Zealand’s highest mountain behind her just as the setting sun highlighted part of Aoraki/Mt Cook with a warm glow. It was one of those moments of being at the right place at the right time.
