Hotshot by Fraser Crichton

I took this at Muller Hut while volunteering as the hut warden last spring. It was a beautiful morning and the cloud was clearing round Aoraki in this big, still silence. Although voyeuristic, I like the shot; there’s a tension between the couple with the mountain ambivalent in the background. Shot on a Nikon D90 DSLR using an 18-105mm AF-S VR Nikon DX lens on 45mm at ISO 200, f/16.0, 1/200 sec.
