A Christchurch gallery owner has welcomed New Zealand into Alert Level 3 with a poem displayed in his gallery window.

The poem was written by famous E-biker, artist and punk poet Andrew Lyons and displayed in the Heathcote Valley Gallery in Christchurch. It photographed by our mountain biking correspondent Dave Mitchell.

It’s a good, and timely, reminder: Keep in good heart – and stay 2m apart.

On Tuesday we reach level three
but safe distance is still very much the key 
So stay 2 metres apart

and keep in good heart
and let’s hope we’ll be covid free
