Sarah White spends weekends exploring the ranges around Wellington with her partner, photographer Paul McCredie. Over summer they do longer transalpine trips on the South Island’s West Coast. She has been tramping for over 50 years, and spent many years bribing her children through multi-day trips. She works as a librarian. Her favourite tramping snack is roasted salted cashews.
