Yakima’s latest roof rack, the Lockn’Load ($505–$990) has been designed in Australia, particularly for outdoors users.

The racks have been made specifically to fit different brands of vehicle. It sits low to the roof line to reduce drag and features an aerodynamic airflow diffuser ridge that helps minimise noise.

Roof rack bars have a load rating of 75kg per bar. The bars have rubber load strips – to prevent slipping – and a T-slot channel that will accept popular accessories. There’s an integrated tie-down point at the bar’s end with a rating of 100kg. And, believe it or not, a bottle opener. The Aussies think of everything.
