Kime Hut

Kime Hut is something of an institution in the Tararua Ranges, with the original being built by the Tararua Tramping Club back in 1930.

The current hut can be reached after a 1300m ascent from the road end, stopping at Field Hut en route for a brew.

On a clear day, the views extend out over the Horowhenua, Wellington and Kapiti Island.
