A fun, exposed scramble awaits those who make the climb along Talbot Ladder Ridge while climbing Mt McPherson, 1931m, which sits high above the Milford Highway. The route is exciting although not particularly hard to climb, though it is often totally wet and there is a small glacier to negotiate before reaching McPherson’s lofty summit. Extensive views are the reward for the struggle.
