Access to the Thousand Acre Plateau in Kahurangi National Park requires an honest grind. From the shores of Lake Matiri the track climbs to an expansive tussock-coated landscape offering views of the park. During a two day trip we camped on the plateau gaining a sense of scale and a shot of wilderness. Shot on a Nikon D200, f/8.0, 1/50 sec.
