Sefton Bivvy lies semi-submerged in spring snow at 1650m. A room with a great view south-east to Lake Pukaki for sure, but not enough space for us that day. The bivvy houses four or five at a squeeze. We were numbers four and five to arrive and the large rock biv, just along the snow ridge, looked like a better option for a decent sleep in the calm, clear weather.
