Macpac says its latest tent, the multi-pitch, three-pole Duolight ($649.99), is, at 2170g, the lightest in its tent range. Macpac says the tent could have been even lighter, perhaps below 2000g, if a lighter, less waterproof floor material had been used.

However, the company wanted a tent which didn’t need a separate footprint, so the Duolight has a durable 10,000mm rated floor.

Tent materials are claimed to be long lasting, with fly fabric of 20D polyester ripstop with a PE coating. It includes DAC Featherlite NSL poles.

The tent has two entry points and lightweight mesh throughout to promote airflow and is set for release at the end of October.
