The reserve is home to about 150 of the birds. The track zigzags through pohutukawa forest and enters a North Island brown kiwi sanctuary. The track crosses Burma Road and then a short boardwalked section crosses and comes out at White Horse Drive. Walk through Whakatane to walk the coastal Kohi Point Reserve.
