At a glance
Plusses:
Great support, affordable.
Minuses: Cotton lining, cold when wet.

Weight 104g

Features: A classic underwire sports bra, which provides a good level of support (claiming to reduce breast bounce by up to 50 per cent). Adjustable straps and back hook closures allow adjustability of the fit. Straps can also be worn straight or adjusted to cross over at the back. Mostly nylon fabric with good use of mesh in the cup and back for breathability. Cotton-lined cups add comfort but are cold on the skin when wet.

Fit: The band and cup sizing allows for a precise fit, however, this bra was only available in limited sizes. In order to get one that fitted my cup size, I needed to go up a band size. While adequate, doing this decreases the life of the bra as there is no way to tighten it as it stretches.

Comfort: Mostly comfortable during a wide range of activities, the high cut under the armpits caused some rubbing at times. The shoulder straps were comfortable beneath packs, however, sometimes I could feel hook closure between my back and backpack.

In use: The bra provided excellent support, but the cotton-lined cups prevent backcountry use as, once wet, they provide direct cooling to the core. Overall comfort, for an underwire bra was surprisingly good. It sits flush with the chest and was not prone to getting leaves in while bush-bashing. It was not particularly comfortable to sleep with, but it could be done. The back closure made it easy to remove at night under my top, preserving modesty.

Value: Great value for an all-round sports bra with lots of support across a range of activities.

Verdict: An excellent supportive sports bra with reasonable comfort. The cotton cup lining lets it down for use on multi-day tramps.
