A new, light, warm and recycled jacket from Kathmandu is its most packable yet.

Winter. The nights are longer, the days are shorter, and the wind is nippier. It’s a tempting time to stay in, binge on Netflix and drink hot chocolate by the gallon. But not us. And not you.

Yes, it’s certainly colder and often wet out there. But one thing is guaranteed: being outside in winter will always give you the right kind of goosebumps. And remember the saying: there’s no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing.

With Kathmandu’s Heli R insulated jacket, you can turn a brrrr day into a brrrrilliant day.

Heli R and NovaLOFT Heli R

The Heli R is Kathmandu’s lightest, most packable and environmentally-friendly Heli jacket to date. This jacket features recycled materials – from the 20D ripstop fabric with its durable water-repellent coating, to the Vislon zippers and cord pullers.

There are two versions with each offering uncompromising warmth: an ultra-packable 600FP duck-down jacket with Responsible Down Standard down, or the harder-wearing, warm-when-wet novaLOFT synthetic insulation version. Both weigh less than 300g and both will keep you warm this winter.

Discover the Heli R’s story – past, present, and future – by scanning the QR code inside the garment.

It’s a unique Digital ID where you can learn about the design and manufacturing process, materials used, care instructions, and repair information. Kathmandu is exploring recycling and resale options — all a part of the journey to achieve product circularity.
