Join Adventure Voice, share your thoughts and help shape the future of outdoor safety in NZ

NZ Mountain Safety Council (MSC) is calling on trampers to join Adventure Voice, a new research community that will help to shape the future of MSC’s safety resources and campaigns.

Whether you’re into short walks, challenging tramps, scaling peaks, riding down mountains or the thrill of the hunt, all outdoor enthusiasts are invited to join Adventure Voice, NZ Mountain Safety Council’s (MSC) new research community.

Adventure Voice will help MSC learn more about the motivations, attitudes, behaviours and actions of people who love to play in the great outdoors. It will help improve its educational resources, safety information and campaigns.

Everyone with an interest in outdoor recreation is encouraged to sign up – no matter the level of experience or ability.

Joining is free and as a member you’ll have a say on a range of outdoor topics via short online surveys. In return, there will be regular updates on research findings and every month members will be entered in a draw to win one of three $100 Prezzy Cards, as well as spot prizes when surveys are completed.

“We’re looking for people from all walks of life, across all types of land-based outdoor recreation, to give us their honest answers about what they do when heading off on adventures, big or small,” says MSC Chief Executive Officer Mike Daisley.

By providing a snapshot of how people think and act when planning, preparing and heading off on their adventures, Adventure Voice will support MSC to be more responsive to the needs of  the outdoor community.

“We aim to provide resources that are genuinely helpful for New Zealanders heading outdoors, that will help everyone to have a positive, safe experience,” says    Daisley. “A key part of this is understanding how people are thinking about and preparing for their adventures. Adventure Voice will feed into that process.

“By joining the Adventure Voice community, you’ll help everyone out there exploring our great outdoors to make it home safe.”

It’s super easy and free to join

To join Adventure Voice, simply complete the online form on the MSC website here: www.adventurevoice.nz

After signing up, you’ll receive an email to complete your registration. This will involve a short questionnaire about your outdoor interests. After registering, you’ll be kept up to date with monthly emails and invitations to surveys, plus you’ll be entered in the draw to win monthly prizes.
