A cloudy day on Single Cone. Photo: Chris Prudden

CLIMBING SINGLE Cone in The Remarkables, we had been swamped by cloud all day. Then, all of a sudden, there was a break and for the first time we could see more than 10m. I took the opportunity to take a photo with some perspective. Fortunately, the conditions weren’t too damp for the rock. We pressed on, but there were no views to be had.
