Here’s a sandal that the makers claim to be for (the) wild (and for) women. Not necessarily, they judiciously note, for wild women.

There’s two models of Merrell’s Siren Q2 sandal: the Strap ($189, 450g) and the Wrap ($199, 400g), the former being open-toed and the latter, closed.

Both offer support, alignment and stability through a dual density midsole and heel-centring design specifically aligned to the way women move.

The sandals are made with a nubuck and webbing upper and a Lycra neoprene lining. A Merrell shock absorbing air cushion in the heel combines with a moulded EVA foot-frame to aid stability and cushioning.
