A Short Little Guide to Hut Etiquette by Rachel Davies

Huts can be fun and social! But don’t forget to read the room. Respect parties going to bed early. Be quiet & use a red light!

Do your part to keep it tidy!

Keep outdoor footwear by the door.

Carry a spare mat & shelter in case first-come-first-served huts are full.

Latch all doors & windows closed when leaving.

Open a window when cooking.

Always use stoves on safe (metal when available) surfaces.

When using provided propane, conserve when possible! Share boiled water with other parties.

Replenish firewood stock.

Pay your fees so we can keep these places running!

Ever been on an epic & finally made it to a hut after dark? Remember that joy & leave space for potential late comers.

Learn fireplace safety!

  • Open the flue
  • Dispose of cool ashes
  • Put fully out before leaving

We love your doggo but not inside public huts.

Crapping! Walk away from the hut & pack out your butts.

Bottom line: Be courteous & leave it better than you found it
