Wilderness's editor Alistair Hall and freelance journalist Kathy Ombler were recognised at the recent Magazine awards.

Wilderness was once again recognised at the Magazine Publishers’ Association awards in early September.

Editor Alistair Hall was named Best Editor and Kathy Ombler was named Best Journalist in the Consumer Special Interest category.

The magazine was awarded a ‘Highly commended’ in the best magazine award.

Art director Pelin Hall was runner-up in the Best Designer category and deputy editor Matthew Cattin was runner-up in the Best Journalist category. Ombler is a freelance journalist who writes regularly for Wilderness.

This is the second year in a row Wilderness has had success at the magazine awards. Last year, the magazine won best magazine, best editor and best journalist in the special interest category.
