ABC Cave, Otago

Read more from

ABC Cave is one of the more palatial rock bivouacs in the Silver Peaks region – the natural rock overhang has been fitted with a wooden sleeping platform. From the road it’s moderately steep going up an old forestry road until the tussock tops are reached near Yellow Hut.

Opportunities for an extended trip abound – try the nearby Silver Peaks, Painted Forest or site of the former Green Hut.
