Rab's three-layer Arc Eco jacket is made entirely from recycled polyester.

A sustainable three layer hiking jacket by Rab has won big at the 2021 ISPO awards.

The Arc Eco uses 100 per cent recycled polyester as an outer, membrane, and three layer mesh inner.

“At the end of its life it is recyclable again. It also uses a fluorocarbon-free DWR so no virgin oil based product is used in the manufacture of the fabric,” said Outfitters importer Neil Stichbury.

“The current Arc is one of our biggest sellers and this new model brings the same design and practicality but into a garment that is recycled and recyclable meaning we complete the loop as far as sustainability is concerned.”

The ISPO Awards honour the most innovative products of the sport and outdoors industries.

The Rab Eco will be available in September 2021 and retail for $399.95.
