We’ve had several people tell us the main drawback to subscribing to the website is that they do not see the ads we print in the magazine. We agree – and not because we get paid for running ads here (advertisers are not charged extra for their ads to appear on this page) – but because we know the advertisements in Wilderness are totally relevant to you and your enjoyment of the outdoors. We also believe ads should be part of the experience of reading a magazine, not an intrusion. That’s our philosophy for the website too: that’s why we put them here – you choose whether you look at them or not.
