Last minute spaces on the Milford Track have opened up this season.
For a limited time between October 27 and November 29, the iconic track will partially open for trampers ahead of the official opening on November 30.
Trampers can walk from Glad Wharf as far as Sutherland Falls, and Clinton and Mintaro huts will be available for booking. Dumpling Hut will remain closed and no access is allowed.
This is the only period for which the track is not fully booked for the 2020/2021 season, and huts will be fully serviced with hut rangers in residence.
Huts can be booked on the DOC website via the ‘27 Oct 20 – 29 Nov 20’ tab, and unlike a typical season, trampers can spend up to two nights in each hut in any order.
Transport must also be booked from Glade Wharf.
