A protein-packed dip for your wraps and crackers.

This is a quick and easy dip that is perfect for day walks or overnighters.

Onion and garlic powder are great for flavouring your tramping meals. You only need a small amount to get loads of taste, just make sure you store them in an airtight container as they absorb moisture easily.

Prep time: 5min
Makes: One cup
Cost: $2–$3

Ingredients
400g can of butter beans, drained
½ tsp rosemary – dried (or 1 tsp fresh)
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp veggie stock powder
1.5 tbsp olive oil
¼ cup water

Method

If you are using fresh rosemary, dice it finely then place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth. Taste and add extra veggie stock if you prefer it saltier. Refrigerate after making and it should last a day in your pack.

If you want it to last longer, freeze it and let it defrost as you walk. This dip tastes great on crackers topped with gherkins and tomato, or spread on wraps with cheese and chutney.
