Are you a gear freak? Do you know your three-season boots from four-season boots? Can you identify the difference between a well-designed product and a poor one? And can you articulate your thoughts on gear in a way that will engage readers and help them make a decision about whether a product is right for them?
If you say 'Yes!' to the above, then we want to hear from you. Wilderness is looking to recruit two readers - one guy and one gal (you might even be a couple) - to help us review gear. It's important that you are active outdoors people because you'll be expected to test gear in the conditions they're designed for. You'll also need to be able to string a few sentences together and impress upon readers why a product is so good, or not so good.
So what's in it for you? While you don't get to keep any of the gear you review (that's would compromise the unbiased nature of Wilderness reviews), you will be paid for each review published. Plus you'll have even more reasons to get outside.
To apply to become a Wilderness gear reviewer, email the editor with the following:
Applications close August 10.
